He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronnie D. Long Sr. and J. Pearl Long; and his grandparents, Ramona, Charles Burrell, Lois Long, Johnny and Viola Carnes.

He is survived by: his wife Dawn D. Long; his children, Stephen Long, Alison Mendenhall (Matthew), Jacob Long (Hailey) and Logan Long (Kat Fields); his grandchildren, Parker Mendenhall, Tucker Mendenhall and Shelby Mendenhall; his brother Josh P. Long (David Guyton); and his in-laws, Ed and Donna Lundy.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Companion Funeral Home. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
