He was predeceased by : his parents, G. W. Turley and Dorothy Turley; his brother Dennis Turley; and his grandparents, Alec and Agnes McCardle.

He is survived by : his sisters, Jessica Howell (Nate), Rebecca Bailey (Daniel) and Susie Badgett; his aunts, Virginia Lowery, Kitty Gibson, Charlotte Weems and Martha Richardson; and his uncle Raymond McCardle. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
