He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rev. William Herndon Hale and Annie Opal Peck Hale; his sisters, Anna Ruth Hale, Donetta VanHuss, Shirley Dyer and Linda Steele; his former wife Gloria Jane Sanger; his children, William Hugh Hale and Anna Michele Ferguson; his former wife Laura Lee Hale; and his spouse Fate William Ferguson.
