He was predeceased by: his son William Donald McCann Jr.; his parents, William Basket "Bill" McCann and Esther Williams Wampler McCann; and his siblings, Hazel Ponder (Vinsont), Harold Wampler (Agnes), JB Wampler (Dorthy), Ruby Bryant (Emery), Billie Ownby, Arther McCann (Ann), Shirley McCann and Janice CampbellDon (Joe).
He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Bernice" McCann; his children, Robin Phelps, Jeff McCann, Kim Shields (Jimmy), Scott McCann, Shane McCann (Cindy), Donnie McCann III, Misty Forgey (Dooney), Donovan Hunter McCann (Mikaela), Karen Trentham and Tina SwansonHe; and his siblings, Herman McCann (Fay), Patsy Edwards (Jimmy) and Lillian MooreDon (David). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the JIM Rush Funeral and Cremation Services - Wildwood (220 Wildwood Ave, Cleveland, TN 37311).
