He was predeceased by: his parents, Gardner Spiva and Ethel Spiva; his former wife Ruth Spiva; and his siblings, Dewey Spiva, Geraldine Elmore and Vivian Dillard.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Puett Spiva of Clinton; his sons, Sid Spiva (Judy) of Clinton, Larry Spiva (Carrie) of Lake City and Douglas Spiva; and his grandchildren, Travis Spiva (Suzanne), Brett Spiva (Erica), Tiffany Spiva, Melinda Ferrell (Will) and Maria Taylor (Lee Jon). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home (621 S Charles G Seivers Blvd, Clinton, TN 37716). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home Chapel (621 S Charles G Seivers Blvd, Clinton, TN 37716). A burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Ridge Memorial Park (1501 Bethel Valley Rd, Oak Ridge, TN 37830).
