It is with sadness that the passing of Betty D. Shorter of Clinton, Tennessee is shared. Betty, born on May 16, 1926, passed away on October 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen Davis and Lucy Davis; her husband Bill Shorter (Bill); her daughter Linda McKamey; her son-in-law Daniel McBee; her grandson Danny Chad Crowey; and her sister Wanda Disney.

She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Skeens (Stephen) of Andersonville and Teresa McBee of Norris; her son-in-law Robert McKamey of Clinton; her grandchildren, Bryan Walker (Sue) of Clinton, Robert Walker of Clinton, Donna Abel (Sean) of Cordova, TN, Julie Byrd (Ronnie Clowers) of Rocky Top, Chad Crowley (Heather) of Clinton and Kristi Anderson (Joshua) of Clinton; her stepgrandson Scott McBee (Jennifer) of Knoxville; her great grandchildren, Alexis Seiber, Zachary Walker, TJ Seals, Caleb Walker, Ian Abel, Jackson Malady, Aiden Walker, Asher Anderson, Carly McBee and Stefan Crowley; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Shanna Jarnigan, Katelyn McBee, Jackson McBee and Greyson McBee; her great great grandchildren, Easton Seiber, RayLee Seiber and Zykeius Brooms; her sisters, Pat Jones of Southlake, TX and Doris Miller of Seymour, TN; and her brother-in-law Jim Disney of Knoxville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home (621 S Charles G Seivers Blvd, Clinton, TN 37716). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens (160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN 37849).
