He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Phillips and Lula Phillips. He is survived by: his brother Elbert "Butch" Phillips (Kimberly Phillips) of Mt. Juliet, TN; his niece Megan Phillips; and his nephew Matthew Phillips. He is also survived by several cousins, aunts, one uncle.
