He is survived by: his sister Janice Hicks; his wife Diana Newport; his sons, David Newport Jr. (Kimberly) and Daniel Newport (Shannon); his grandchildren, Austin Newport, Ashley Turpin, Haley Newport, Eric Newport, Seth Newport (Hayley), Danielle Newport, Rachel Greene (Zach) and Sarah Newport; his great grandchildren, Owen Newport, Rhett Newport, Jack Stockstill, River Turpin and Waylon Turpin; and his nephew Timothy Hicks.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home (621 S Charles G Seivers Blvd, Clinton, TN 37716). A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
