He was predeceased by: his parents, Ocie Butler and W. A. Butler; his daughter Milane; and his wife Barbara. He is survived by: his close friend Rocky; his daughters, Heather Martin (Josh) and Paige Williams (Mikael Carrier); his grandchildren, Bailey Whitfield (Jake) and Coleman Carrier; and also, Joe, Alicia Shelton and Joyce Rittenberry.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home (621 S Charles G Seivers Blvd, Clinton, TN 37716). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens (160 Edgemoor Rd, Powell, TN 37849).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Don's favorite cause.
