He was predeceased by: his wife Susan Elaine Hyde Forbes; his parents, Max James Forbes, Sr. and Mildred Wolf Forbes; and his brother Max James Forbes, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, David R. Forbes (Gwen) of Clinton, Steven C. Forbes (Martha) of Norris and Alan S. Forbes (Liz) of Statesboro, GA; his grandchildren, Daniel Forbes (Lisa), Rachel Bradley (Sean), Rebecca Grey (Cameron), Kathryn Blatchford (Brendan), Samuel Forbes, Joshua Forbes, Lainey Upchurch (Alan) and Anna McBride (Colin); and his great grandchildren, Angelo, Fiora, Leo, Natali, Jio, Adeline, Sydney, Genevieve, Harper, Declan, Lochlan, Blatchford and McBride. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
