He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Berry Cagle; his brother James Harvey Cagle; and his parents, Gordon Sr. Cagle and Mildred Dawson Cagle. He is survived by: his brother Roy Cagle; his children, Dawson Wayne Cagle and Davilyn Cagle Huffaker; his son-in-law Michael James Huffaker; and his granddaughter Eiley Jane Huffaker.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Clinton (225 N Main St, Clinton, TN 37716). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Clinton Starts (1000 Clinch Ave, Clinton, TN 37716). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Ouachita Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you take a walk in the woods and think of Gordon on his eternal hunt for wildflowers, waterfalls, and more firewood.
