He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Sprankles and Maggie Massengill Sprankles. He is survived by: his wife Dora Lee Sprankles (Melton); his daughter Sherry Louise Norman (James) of Andersonville; his grandchildren, TJ Stooksbury (Jessie) of Knoxville and Sarah Ashlee Green (Tyler) of Mt. Juliet; his great grandchild Ally; and his friends, G. B. Carden, Rudy Cox and Patsy Prater. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at 8:00 PM at the Hatmaker Funeral Home (503 S Main St, Rocky Top, TN 37769). A burial will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
