He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gibson and Mary Elizabeth Gibson; and his grandparents, Emma Ivey Goins and Ericus Goins. He is survived by: his wife Judith Gibson; his children, Jonathan Gibson (Katrina) of Clinton, Sarah Bunch (Gary) of Clinton, Susan Disney (Brad) of Knoxville and Jerry Gibson, Jr. of LaFollette; his stepdaughters, Stephanie Alley (Mike) of Knoxville and Laura Smith of Greensboro, NC; and his siblings, Charles Edward Gibson of Powell, David Gibson of Jacksboro and Annette Patterson (Virginia) of Richland. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
