He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Nelson; his brothers, Everette, Cleo, Henson and Archie; his children, Susie Kirk and Randy Nelson; and his son-in-law Perry Kirk.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Nelson and Sandy Braden (Neal); his grandchildren, Kara Carmack (Jamie), Joshua Nelson (Samantha), Jordan Braden (Ashley), John Nelson (Sarah), Chandler Braden (Kendall), James Nelson (Brianna) and Gavin Braden (Kenzie); his great grandchildren, Jordan, Briley, Dylan, Emilee, Kayleigh, Caden, Kasen, Eleanor, Cason, Carter and Lylah; his brother Estel Nelson (Shirley); his sisters-in-law, Doris Webber and Betty Laurendine; and his pets, Waylon and Panther. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Holley Gamble Funeral Home.
