She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur M. Cate and Laura Gann Cate; her husband James "Jay" Dee Nelson; her daughter Candese "Candy" Walker; and her siblings, Lucille Loop, Trula Huskey, Paul, Roy of Cecil, D. F., Harold and J. L. Cate.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tonya Davis (Jim) and Tina Foust (Mark); her grandchildren, Nicole Carpenter (Karl), Brittany McLane (Trey), Chelsea Walker, Caleb Walker and Morgan Davis (Andrew); and her great grandchildren, Cole Carpenter, Kaleigh Carpenter, Jaxon Martin, Oliver Walker, Luke Nichols and Paizlee Booth.
