Woods, Anna Elizabeth Whitt, James Arthur Ryan, Patience Annie Brooks, John Marshall Denton, Temperance Elizabeth Poteet, Elam Haywood Poteet and Mary Elizabeth Hawkins; and his great-great-grandparents, Larkin Whitt, Annie Hayes, Peter Ryan, Sarah Rose, George Washington Brooks, Elizabeth Caroline Craig, Anderson Denton, Jane Eliza Baxter, Sidney Ervin Poteet, Mary Ann Hawkins, Harrison Brittain Hawkins and Lucinda Hawkins.

He is survived by: his wife Teresa Lynne Ownby King of Knoxville, TN; his children, Whitney Suzanne Denton of Clinton, TN and Franklin Clark Denton of Knoxville, TN; his brother Gary Michael Denton (Veronica Frances Yodzukinas Denton) of Clinton, TN; his grandchildren, Caleb Denton Clement of New Kensington, PA, Rachel Lindsey Heston of Oak Ridge, TN, Emma Grace Denton of Knoxville, TN, Olivia Suzanne Denton of Knoxville, TN and Phoebe Ella Denton of Knoxville, TN; and his great grandchildren, Zoey Danielle Heston of Oak Ridge, TN, Lucy Jane Clement of New Kensington, PA and Beau Thomas Clement of New Kensington, PA..
