He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel; his daughters, Marilyn and Carolyn; his parents, Kiley Archer and Vina Archer; and his brothers, Carson, Horace Archer and John Cabage.
He is survived by: his son Terry Archer (Sheila) of Clinton; his grandchildren, Rodney Archer (Callie) of Andersonville, Michelle Scott (Staniel) of Powell and Megan Bradley (Jonathan) of Knoxville; his great grandchildren, Seth, Tristan, Aiden, Nealee Scott, Jack, Rowan Bradley and Cruz Archer; his sister Betty Jessing; and his nephews, Joe Harmon, Bob Tomkin and Pete Gawda (Teresa Stooksbury).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel (4131 E Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Book Hotel Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery (122 Mt Pleasant Rd, Andersonville, TN 37705).
