He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Goddard and Anna Goddard; and his brother Gordon Goddard. He is survived by: his wife Erma Goddard; his children, Gary Goddard (Nancy), Naomi Breeden (Michael) and Jeanette Davis (Chester); his grandchildren, Stephen Davis (Karissa), Jonathan Tackett (Destiny) and Katelyn Copeland (Zach); his great grandchildren, Mason and Porter Copeland; and his sister Joyce Grubb (James Ivan).

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home (621 S Charles G Seivers Blvd, Clinton, TN 37716). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Holley Gamble Funeral Home (621 S Charles G Seivers Blvd, Clinton, TN 37716). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery (1996 Old Lake City Hwy, Clinton, TN 37716).
