It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgie Hackworth of Clinton, Tennessee, who passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Virgie Hackworth to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonas Haney and Jennie Jones Haney; her husband Doug Hackworth; and her brothers, Lonzy Haney of Clinton and Roy Haney of Oliver Springs.
She is survived by: her son Ronnie Hackworth; her granddaughter Jessie Hackworth; her sisters, Velma Cryer of DeRidder, Shirley Cofer (Bryan) of Oak Ridge and Susie Foust (Greg) of Clinton; and her sisters-in-law, Brenda Haney of Oliver Springs and Ellen Parton of Oliver Springs. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Batley Baptist Church (670 Batley Rd, Clinton, TN 37716). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
