She is survived by: her children, Tony (Midge), Becky (Steve), Judy (Ryan) and Scott (Gwen); her grandchildren, Ray Adcock, Malinda Smith (Bill), Elisha Laymance (Rick), Regina Maceo (Isaac), Steven Patton (Paige), Richie Patton (Monica), Wayne Phillips (Chrissy Burton), Amanda Hill (Chris), Joey Hargis, Ben Hargis, Jacob Lively, Emily Grace Tate (Brad) and Zach Crowe (Kailey Kreis); her great grandchildren, Devin Smith (Casey), Vanessa Heidel (Derek), Don Laymance (Amber), Abby Laymance, Sara Patton, Caleb Patton, Kali Mayes, James Patton, Riley Patton, Madilyn Patton, Brooklyn Patton, Corbin Burton, Sonny Phillips, Harper Hill and Asher Crowe; and her great great grandchildren, Aiden, Bryson, Axle, Sophia, Ian, Marley, Shiloh and Abby.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (1306 Fairview Rd, Harriman, TN 37748). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Batley Baptist Church Cemetery (670 Batley Rd, Clinton, TN 37716).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in Mary Ellen's honor to Corbin Hill Baptist Church or the Coalfield Senior Center.
