He was predeceased by: his wife Kathryn Cagley Queener; his parents, Floyd Queener and Ruth Queener; his brother Richard Queener (Emily); his parents-in-law, Elmer Thomas Cagley, Sr. and Anna Marie; and his brother-in-law George Cagley (Lucy).

He is survived by: his children, Michael Queener and Lena Russell (Kendall); his granddaughter Jeannette Russell; his great grandchild Serenity Russell; his in-laws, Bill Cagley (Heidi) and Tom Cagley (Diana); and his caregivers, Judy Bowling, Macy Ashburn, Missy Phillips, Monica Wright and McKenzie Ausmus.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Dolly Parton's East TN Children's Hospital.
