He was predeceased by : his parents, James Ellis and Geneva Eady Isom; his daughter Amy Isom Ham; and his sisters, Lorraine Maddux and Carol Eudailey.

He is survived by : his wife Harriette Jane White Isom; his son Brent Isom (Jamie); his son-in-law Tim Ham of Franklin, TN; his sister Elaine Roark (Ronald) of Murfreesboro, TN; his grandsons, Clay Isom (Clara), Jacob Isom and Tanner Ham; and his nieces and nephews, Teresa Parks Pinson, Julie Roark, Jennifer White Miller, J. D. Parks, Greg Roark and Jason Eudailey.
