He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ray McLaughlin and Hazel Barner McLaughlin; and his grandson Pete Sciara. He is survived by: his wife Peggy McLaughlin; his children, DeEdra Pulley (Robert), Anthony McLaughlin (Bridgette) and Eric McLaughlin (Shelly); his grandchildren, Katie McDonald (Mike), Adam Pulley (Lauren), Conner McLaughlin (Melissa), Caden McLaughlin (Bailey), Seth McLaughlin, Ethan McLaughlin, Mary Sciara, Sam Sciara and Michael Sciara; his great grandchildren, Lucy McDonald, Lainey McDonald, Charlotte Pulley and Cal McLaughlin; and his siblings, Shirley Smith, Joe McLaughlin (Anita) and Doug McLaughlin (Vickie).

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Central Church (2005 E Winchester Blvd, Collierville, TN 38017). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers gifts in memory of Mr. McLaughlin may be offered to the American Lung Association.
