He was predeceased by: his parents, Carolyn Lorena Woods Baird and James Thomas Baird; his son James William Baird (Billy); and his great grandchildren, Anna Grace and John Liam Baird.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kuykendall Baird; his daughter-in-law Gail Bennett Baird of Collierville; and his children, Sheryl Bodron (Bob) of Griffin, GA and Richard (Liz) of Savannah, TN..
