She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Schwilk and Frida Schwilk; her son John Bird Jr.; and her siblings, Herbert Schwilk, Ralph Schwilk, Siegrid Schwilk and Rosemary Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Branly and Robert Bird; her sister Olivia Bornmann; and her husband John Philip Bird. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
