He was predeceased by: his wife Melody Burk Highsmith; his son Jason Browning Highsmith; and his parents, JT Highsmith and Pauline Highsmith. He is survived by: his daughter Nicole Gaulden (Matthew) of Austin, TX; his stepson Steven Reeves (Heather) of Collierville, TN; his siblings, Antoinette Davis (Jim) and Schelley Childress; his grandchildren, Austin Payne, Ashley Feste (Travis), Ava, Camden Gaulden and Bryce Reeves; his great grandchildren, Penelope Payne, Hayes and Emmie Feste; his sister-in-law Judy Murchison; his niece Melissa Carrington; and his great-nieces, Makayla and Katie Carrington.
