Agnes Glover Hooie Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Agnes Glover Hooie of Columbia, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. Glover and Sallie Ann Pettus Glover; her brothers, George W. and J. D. Glover; and her sisters-in-law, Faye Glover and Delphine Glover.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Deason (Darryl) of Murfreesboro and Donald G. Hooie (Shalena) of Crossville; her grandchildren, Tara Winton (Justin), Erin Walters (Sloan), Nicholas Saunders Hooie (Emily) and Faith Hooie (Thomas Taylor); and her great grandchildren, Max Winton, Thad Walters, Crosby Walters, Margaret Winton, Breckin Walters and Luke Saunders Hooie. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home (320 W 7th St, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, 313 6th Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401.
