With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Moore of Columbia, Tennessee, who passed away on September 29, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Ramey Moore and Anna Elizabeth Hunter Moore; and his siblings, Modene Smith, Bettye Head and Doyle Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Royster Moore; his children, Bill Moore of Denver, Colorado and Elizabeth Fox (Chris) of Atlanta, Georgia; his granddaughters, Annabel and Frances Fox; his brothers, Billy Moore (Cynthia) of Adams, Tennessee and Terry Moore of Adams, Tennessee; and his caregivers, Derric Porter, Annie Hardison and Tamika Biffle. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
