He was predeceased by: his parents, John Uptain and Orell Uptain; and his siblings, David Uptain, Paula Chadwell, Ray Uptain and Ruby Hindman.
He is survived by: his brother Wesley Uptain; and his nieces and nephews, Dina Daniels (Mike), Anna Uptain, Jane Al-Amery (Sadiq), Monty Uptain and Clint Uptain. He is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Williams Funeral Home (2517 Trotwood Ave, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
