He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Gidcomb and Sadie Chaney Gidcomb; his stepmother Elsie Thompson Gidcomb; his sister Mary Nelle Davis; his brother-in-law Dave Zimmerman; his nephew Eric Primm; and his close friend Kay Neeley.
He is survived by: his sister Kay Zimmerman; his sons, Barry (Debra) and Larry Gidcomb (Kimberly Haliburda); his grandson Matthew Martin Gidcomb; and his brother-in-law Richard Davis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
