It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Nance of Columbia, Tennessee, who passed away on October 21, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carolyn Nance to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Q. Chambers and Lois Jones Chambers; her former husband Bernie W. Cromer; and her grandson-in-law Chad Derryberry. She is survived by: her husband Larry Nance; her sons, Jeff Cromer (Betsy) of Columbia and Joey Cromer (Ruth) of Columbia; her grandchildren, Ashley Derryberry, Autumn Cromer, Katie Cromer and Carey Cromer; her great grandchildren, Zaiden Cochran and Maddie Derryberry; her stepchildren, Chris Nance, Jennifer Vannasse (Aaron) and Renee Vernon (Greg); her stepgrandchildren, Zac Walker (Lauren) and Kacy Maurer (Cody); and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Max Walker, Finn Walker, Malone Maurer and Mabry Maurer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home (320 W 7th St, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
