He was predeceased by: the mother of his child Margaret Gum; his wife Loretta Gum; his parents, Floyd Gum and Grace Gum; and his siblings, Verdie, Orie, Madaline, Ollie, Genevive, Edith and Floyd, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Mike Gum (Kathy) and Lucretia Mittelbrun (Dan); his grandchildren, John Gum (Cara), Rebecca Gum, Sarah Bays, Kyle Bays (Samantha), Amelia Crandall (Mackenzie), David Mittelbrun, John Mittelbrun and Tom Mittlebrun; and his great grandchildren, Michael Blaide Beard, Gavin Curtis Gum, Ellie Gum, Gage Dempsey, Madelyn Gum, Nolen Bays, Logan Bays, Lora Lee Crandall and Jensen Crandall.
