He is survived by : his children, Brian Calkins and April Calkins Thurman (Randy); his grandchildren, Amanda Thurman, Cody Brett Worthman, Raleigh Calkins, Cameron Calkins, Jaqueline Gamble, Jacob Villano and Zoe Calkins; his sister Carol Mueller (Gene); his nieces, Chris Goetzke (Tim), Deb Larson (John Price) and Tracy Bram; and his close friend Bob Smith of Peggy's Sunrise Café. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

I would have never had my Dream car if not for Don. I will always cherish the memories of sitting out front of J's smoke shop watching the classic cars go by, having wonderful conversation, also enjoying our shared interest of music together.
