He was predeceased by: his parents, O. M. Harris, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Stanfill Harris; and his sisters, Gail Grissom and Theresa Shouse. He is survived by: his wife Nora Williams Harris of Columbia; his daughter Michelle Dominguez (Robert) of Franklin; his siblings, George Martin Harris (Dianne) of Estill Springs and Donna Leland (Carl) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Robert William "Bo" Dominguez and Emmeline Grace Dominguez; and his brothers-in-law, Rea Grissom of Huntsville and Bill Shouse of Murfreesboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Fund or Graymere Church of Christ.
