He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Pitman and Elizabeth "Lib" Robinson Pitman; his son-in-law Rick Matar; his brother Arnold Louis Pitman; and his siblings-in-law, Yancy Seago Pitman and Cecil N. Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Frankie Pitman; his children, Kevin Pitman (Susanne) and Kim Matar; his sister Carolyn Johnson; his grandchildren, Sarah Pitman, Joshua Pitman (Jenna) and Noah Pitman; and his great grandchild Fletcher Pitman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
