He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold T. Gooch and Eleanor Evans Gooch; his wife Nancy Gooch; and his brothers, Claude and Clyde Gooch.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Gooch (Heather) and Jessica Perry (Matt); his brother Ellis Gooch (Bev); and his grandchildren, Zachary, Breanna, Elizabeth and Kevin Gooch. He is also survived by grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services (609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401). A memorial service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
