Though Evelyn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Evelyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Escar Tharp and Lockey Turnbow Tharp; her husband Joe Curtis; her stepmother Maude Tharp; and her siblings, James Tharp, Billy Tharp, Telford Tharp, Betty Sue Ellzey and Loyce Barber.
She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Doris Tharp, Sharon Tharp and Jonnie Tharp. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Home (609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
