In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gene leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Gene may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Baxter and Onnie Baxter; his wife Judy Baxter; his daughter-in-law Kay Baxter; and his brother Ocy Baxter (Linda).
He is survived by: his son Gregory Baxter; his grandson Cooper Baxter; and his sisters, Louise Brooks (Pete), Margaret Haywood (John) and Evelyn Morton (Billy). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home & Crematory - Columbia (2517 Trotwood Ave, Columbia, TN 38401). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
