She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Atkinson and Alice B. Quillen Atkinson; her husband James Harmon Deen; and her siblings, J. P. Atkinson, Ted Atkinson, Charles Atkinson, Pitts Atkinson, Frank Atkinson, Richard Atkinson, Faye Atkinson and Johnny Atkinson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Davis (Donnie) and Amanda Deen (Elizabeth); her grandchildren, Tracey Baker (Todd) and Kevin Davis (Wendy); her great grandchildren, Jennifer James (Maverick), Katelyn Jones, Niko Baker and Bryson Davis; her sister Shirley Shelton Staggs; and her close friends, Betty Green and Ben Hickson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
