He is survived by: his wife Neva Larie Daniels Attkisson of Columbia; his children, Heath Attkisson (Paige) of Alabama, Shaen Attkisson (Lela) of Columbia, William Gabriel Attkisson of Tennessee and Kerri Attkisson (Beth) of Columbia; his brother Campbell Attkisson (Bobbie Lou) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Zoe Attkisson (Rodney), Jessica Pettigrew (Chris), Breanna Vinson (Cain), Ashley Attkisson (Preston), Caleb Attkisson, Cambria Attkisson, Mason Dilliha, Landon Attkisson, Charley Attkisson and Gunner Attkisson; and his great grandchildren, Henleigh Simmons, Brixton Dewire, Keeley Dewire, Rylan Dewire, Braylee Pettigrew, Hayden Pettigrew, Lana Pettigrew, Aubrey McCandless, Eva Pettigrew, Malachi Burney, Dalton Crowell, Collin Vinson, Camden Vinson, Casen Vinson and Beckett Yokley-Owens.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401). A masonic service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services (609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401).
