He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Carroll and Virginia Carroll; his wife Patricia Carroll; his daughters, Debra Carroll and Linda Carroll; and his siblings, Melvin Carroll, Lucille Holt, Edith Lammers, Alton "Big" Carroll, Walter "Cheat" Carroll, Dorthey DeVoy, Eva Dudley, Bill Carroll and Jean Karcher.
He is survived by: his children, James D. Carroll, Kathy Cotton (Tim) and Theresia Lammers; his grandchildren, Jenna Cotton, Kris Nobielski and Tina Garland (Jeremy); and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Chloe Lightener, Rylee and Jase Garland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
