He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Blackburn and Nettie Alice Smith Blackburn; his wife Nellie Ruth Pratt Blackburn; his son Tony Harold Blackburn; and his siblings, Juanita Roberts, Fannie Mae Hood, Margaret Vincion, Lester of Leslie, M. T. and Hubert Blackburn.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda; his son-in-law Tommy Carpenter of Columbia; his grandchildren, Jason Carpenter (Kristin) and Tiffany Martin (Alan); his great grandchildren, Lukas, Harper Martin and Jake Carpenter; and his close friends, Suzanne Turner, Betty Jo Turner, Faye and Cromer Jackson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home (320 W 7th St, Columbia, TN 38401).
