She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Lee and Lily Rachel Scott; her husband George Wyatt "Sonny" Shankle; her son George Michael "Mike" Shankle; and her sisters, Margaret Scott King and Doris Scott Willis.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly Simmons (John) of Columbia, TN and Chris Shankle (Traci) of Paris, TN; her daughter-in-law Diane Garrett Shankle of Paris, TN; her grandchildren, Martha West (Chris), Austin Simmons (Tara), Kim Gwaltney (Joseph), Ken Rhodes (Kate), Scott Shankle, Andrew Shankle (Shelby), Allie Jo Shankle, Julie Cruse (Jacob) and Chase Shankle (Bree Gregory); and her great grandchildren, Nora West, Wyatt West, Andrey West, Eliza West, Stella West, Nathaniel West, Landry Simmons, Lochlan Simmons, Lenox Simmons, Hannah Young (Woodrow), Garrett Gwaltney, John Michael Rhodes, Landon Rhodes, EllieAnne Shankle, Boone Shankle, Sawyer Hampton, Haylen Shankle, Walker Cruse and Trinity Shankle.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ridgeway Funeral Home (201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN 38242). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eastwood Church of Christ or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
