He is survived by: his wife Carol McCollum Jacobs; his children, David Jacobs (Genny), Jeanne Johnston (Barry) and Lisa Meise (Tim); his grandchildren, Daniel Johnston (Lydia), Holli Lear (Carlton), Anna Johnston, Hannah Jacobs, Nicole Meise, Halla Haslam (Payton), Micah Meise, Jared Meise and Hope Jacobs; his great grandchildren, Eliza, Leon and Kai; his sister-in-law Judy Jaocbs; his half-brother Joey Jacobs; and his nephews, Steven Jacobs (Holly), Brian Jacobs (Andria) and Jeremy Jacobs (Shaina).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
