He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Short and Mary Lou Lewis Short; and his son William Ferrell Short. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughter Amanda Cole (Johnny); his grandsons, Anthony Adams and Charlie Adams; and his great grandchildren, Rose Adams and Jake Green.
