He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth McLain Farris and Wanda Howell Farris. He is survived by: his wife Jan Dodd Farris; his children, Byran Farris (Rachel), Justin Farris, Chad Smith (Supakanya), Tara Scharber (Scotty), Erritt Smith and Evinn Smith (Dottie); his grandchildren, Chaney Farris, Cole Farris, Blake Perry (Channing), Resa Smith, Baylee Ingle and Cade Ingle; his great grandchildren, Pierson, Parker Perry and Weston Ingle; and his brothers, Barry Farris (Martha), Ronnie Farris (Susan), David Farris (AnneMarie) and Kevin Farris (Jodie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and of course dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Winchester Church of Christ. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Franklin County Christian Memorial Foundation.
