He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hardin and Opal Irene Reed; and his siblings, John Robert Reed, Paul Reed, Harold Reed and Alta Mae Reed Thomason.
He is survived by: his wife Shelia Reese Reed; his children, Kimberly Sherrell (Jimmy), James Reed and David Reed (Stephanie); and his close friends, Randy and Martha Goodwin. He is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
