He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond H. Ray, Sr. and Anna Pauline Portwood Ray; his sister Lou Ellen Toombs; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Toombs, Kent Duke, Mack McGlothin and Larry Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Ray; his daughter Jill Giles; his son-in-law Corey Giles; his grandson Luke Giles; his sisters, Betty Duke, Norma McGlothin, Nancy Roberts and Donna Gibson; and his brother-in-law Steve Gibson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Columbia First United Methodist Church, 222 W. 7th Street, Columbia, TN 38401 and designated to either the Wheelchair Ramp Ministry or FreshSTART Program.
