He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Ball Chapman and Wilbur Chapman; and his brother Keith Chapman. He is survived by: his wife Betty Bringle Peebles; his son Douglas Chapman (Jeannie Jo); his grandchildren, Aden, Addison and Maxine Chapman; and his cousins, Wayne and Glen Haynes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home (320 W 7th St, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
