Though Sherry may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hubbell and Doris Hubbell; her daughter Caycee (Paul); her sister Judy; and her son Brandon Hitt (Rebecca).
She is survived by: her husband Grant Hitt; and her grandson Bryson. She is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews that she considered her honorary additional children, and 9 great-nieces & great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Crieve Hall Church of Christ (4806 Trousdale Dr, Nashville, TN 37220).
